Job Description
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develops, implements, and periodically revises regulatory and accreditation compliance programs.
- Serves as the American Hospital Dubai representative liaising with the Dubai Health Authority.
- Leads and supports inspection readiness activities.
- Provides support during and after regulatory and accreditation inspections and internal audits.
- Contributes to developing recommendations for changes to clinical practices to ensure compliance.
- Assists in preparing comprehensive reports, including recommendations and appropriate action plans.
- Facilitates the dissemination of results from inspections and audits.
- Manages a portfolio of activities to ensure regulatory compliance, including mock inspections, surveys, and tracers.
- Maintains confidentiality of all data and information at all times.
- Interprets and reports quality data to support facility leadership and clinical decision-makers.
- Identifies and escalates significant non-conformance with laws, regulations, or standards to the Director of Clinical Governance.
- Works directly and closely with all disciplines to develop reliable processes for achieving compliance.
- Maintains various databases and is accountable for the timely and accurate production of routine and ad-hoc reports.
- Coordinates with the Clinical Auditor & Data Management Coordinator in establishing and implementing audit activities.
- Serves as a subject matter expert regarding UAE and Dubai Healthcare laws and regulations, JCI standards, and other accreditation agencies.
- Performs other applicable tasks and duties assigned by the Director of Clinical Governance within the employee’s knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- Completes all assigned tasks in a timely, standardized, and appropriate format.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in a relevant field such as quality, business administration or Diploma in a relevant field with 3 years of additional experience.
- Certification in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) or Certification in compliance preferred.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in regulatory compliance.
- Comprehensive experience of Joint Commission International activities.
- Knowledge of Dubai Health Authority laws and regulations.
- Clinical experience or previous experience in a healthcare setting.
