Key Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Provide expert consultation and management of pediatric patients with allergy, immunology, and infectious diseases. This includes conducting comprehensive patient assessments, developing treatment plans, and prescribing medications or therapies.
- Diagnosis & Treatment: Diagnose a wide range of pediatric conditions related to allergies, immune system disorders, and infections, and provide evidence-based treatment options.
- Collaboration: Work closely with pediatricians, nurses, other specialists, and healthcare providers to create integrated treatment plans and ensure the best outcomes for patients.
- Family Education & Support: Offer guidance and education to families regarding disease management, lifestyle changes, and medication adherence. Assist in managing chronic conditions and providing support for families coping with complex medical conditions.
- Research & Continuous Learning: Engage in clinical research, case studies, and stay updated on the latest advancements in pediatric allergy, immunology, and infectious diseases. Participate in continuous professional development activities.
- Emergency Care: Be available for emergency consultations, particularly in cases of severe allergic reactions, immunodeficiency crises, or acute infectious diseases requiring immediate intervention.
- Training & Mentorship: Provide mentorship and training to junior staff, residents, and medical students in the pediatric allergy, immunology, and infectious disease fields.
- Quality Assurance: Adhere to institutional policies and best practices to ensure high-quality care and patient safety standards are met. Participate in audits and quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Medical Degree (MBBS, MD, or equivalent)
- Board Certification or eligibility in Pediatric Allergy, Immunology, and Infectious Diseases
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in pediatric allergy, immunology, and infectious diseases (preferred).
- Expertise in managing complex pediatric allergic conditions (e.g., asthma, food allergies), immunodeficiencies, autoimmune diseases, and infectious diseases in children.
- Strong clinical skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with children, parents, and colleagues effectively.
- Commitment to continuous education and professional development in pediatric care.
Desirable Skills
- Advanced knowledge in pediatric immunotherapy and biologics for allergies.
- Experience in conducting clinical research and publishing findings.
- Fluency in Arabic with an emphasis on communication with diverse populations.
- Experience in training and mentoring junior medical staff.
