Job Description

Primary Responsibilities -Technical:

  • Providing specialized dental care and treatment services to patients with complex oral health conditions, utilizing advanced techniques and procedures within granted privileges
  • Conducting thorough patient evaluations, including comprehensive clinical assessments, diagnostic imaging, and treatment planning, to develop individualized treatment plans tailored to patients’ specific needs and goals.
  • Performing specialized dental procedures and interventions, such as root canal therapy, periodontal surgery, orthodontic treatment, dental implants, and oral surgery procedures, with precision, efficiency, and patient comfort.
  • Collaborating with general dentists, specialists, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care, including consultations, referrals, and follow-up appointments, to ensure comprehensive treatment and optimal outcomes.
  • Providing expert consultations and second opinions to dental colleagues and healthcare professionals on complex dental cases, offering clinical insights, treatment recommendations, and interdisciplinary care coordination as needed.
  • Collaborating with dental laboratory technicians, radiologists, and other allied healthcare professionals to facilitate diagnostic testing, treatment planning, and the fabrication of specialized dental appliances, prostheses, and surgical guides.
  • Fostering a culture of patient-centered care, empathy, and professionalism in dental practice, promoting a positive patient experience, informed decision-making, and shared decision-making in treatment planning and care delivery.
  • Utilizing advanced diagnostic tools and imaging techniques to assess dental conditions and develop precise treatment plans.
  • Providing specialized care for patients with medical complexities, disabilities, or special needs, ensuring their comfort, safety, and access to dental services.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records, treatment documentation, and clinical notes in accordance with regulatory requirements, professional standards, and practice protocols.
  • Staying informed about changes in dental regulations, guidelines, and industry trends related to the specialty area, ensuring compliance with standards of practice and ethical principles in dental care delivery.
  • Performing other professional duties as assigned.

Education / Professional Qualifications:

  • Education Degree: Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree with MSc., board, postgrad certificate in the respective specialty
  • License: Resident and above as per SCHS
