We are seeking a dedicated Laboratory Histotechnologist to join our team. In this role, you will deliver essential laboratory services by collecting samples, conducting tests, and documenting results while ensuring the operation and maintenance of laboratory equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and non-routine tests and analyses using lab equipment.
- Collect, process, and document samples and quality control records.
- Prepare solutions, media, and reagents according to standard procedures.
- Operate and maintain laboratory instruments and ensure a clean work environment.
- Adhere to safety protocols regarding biohazardous and radioactive materials.
- Utilize sterile techniques and comply with biohazard standards.
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed.
- Work independently with limited supervision, prioritizing tasks effectively.
Qualifications:
- DHA licensed as a Laboratory Histotechnologist.
- Minimum of 2 years of laboratory experience; experience in special staining and immunohistochemistry is a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant computer programs.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask.
- Physical capability to handle demanding tasks, including lifting equipment and standing for extended periods.
