Job Description
Receptionist Duties:
- Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
- Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and handle inquiries.
- Verify patient information, update records, and process patient check-ins.
- Manage patient flow and coordinate with medical staff to ensure smooth operations.
- Maintain an organized and welcoming reception area.
Billing Duties:
- Process insurance claims and ensure accurate billing for services rendered.
- Review patient accounts for discrepancies and resolve billing issues.
- Verify insurance coverage and ensure accurate coding of procedures.
- Follow up on unpaid claims and assist with patient billing inquiries.
- Maintain accurate records of all transactions and insurance communications.
- Assist with financial reports and statements as needed.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in healthcare setting, with knowledge of front desk operations and medical billing.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and software (experience with [Mediware is preferred).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information.
- Friendly, professional demeanor and the ability to work well with patients, medical staff, and insurance providers
