Job Description

Receptionist Duties:

  • Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and handle inquiries.
  • Verify patient information, update records, and process patient check-ins.
  • Manage patient flow and coordinate with medical staff to ensure smooth operations.
  • Maintain an organized and welcoming reception area.

Billing Duties:

  • Process insurance claims and ensure accurate billing for services rendered.
  • Review patient accounts for discrepancies and resolve billing issues.
  • Verify insurance coverage and ensure accurate coding of procedures.
  • Follow up on unpaid claims and assist with patient billing inquiries.
  • Maintain accurate records of all transactions and insurance communications.
  • Assist with financial reports and statements as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in healthcare setting, with knowledge of front desk operations and medical billing.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and software (experience with [Mediware is preferred).
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information.
  • Friendly, professional demeanor and the ability to work well with patients, medical staff, and insurance providers
