Job Description
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- To carry out technical analysis and evaluation of medical records in accordance with hospital standards.Â
- To provide medical record services including registration, appointments, inpatient, out patient and emergency department filing and retrieving system.Â
- To evaluate documentation for deficiencies in the outpatient and inpatient medical files and to arrange for completion of records with cooperation of medical and nursing staff.Â
- To assist the medical staff and their committees in the hospital executing the quality assurance program.Â
- To protect medical records, especially medico legal cases, from unauthorized disclosure so as to maintain confidentially.Â
- To cooperate with all departments related to medical record services in order to obtain acceptable records for providing efficient services.Â
- Recommends and participates in the development of hospital policies and procedures; may serve on hospital planning and policy-making committeesÂ
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.Â
- To participate in educational programs such as seminars, work shops, and conference related to medical record field.

Qualifications
QUALIFICATION, LICENSURE, EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SPECIAL SKILLS
- Post graduate or graduate certificate with practical training in the medical records field for at least six months with TWO years experience as Medical Record Technician.
- Certificate or Diploma in Medical Records after an intermediate education. Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â
- Computer Literacy.Â
- Excellent command of oral and written English. Knowledge in Arabic is desirable but not essential
