Pediatric Physical Therapist

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Assess the physical therapy needs of the child, develop a rehabilitation plan of care based on the assessment that integrates goals, treatment, outcomes, and discharge plan, and provide pediatric rehabilitation services as specified in the rehabilitation care plan, reassessing the child’s response to the services provided and reviewing the rehabilitation care plan as needed.
  • Guide parents and educators, providing them with exercises and appropriate techniques to practice at home or in educational settings. The therapist works to provide support and guidance to parents and educators to enhance the motor development of children in their daily lives.
  • Maintain documentation provided within the daily therapy note in EMS.
  • Collaborate with other pediatric physical therapists to exchange information and coordinate treatment plans and follow-up.
  • Engage in professional development and implement educational activities during service to meet development needs and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in staff training and education activities and provide consultations to facility staff.
  • Engage in marketing and community education functions as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in physiotherapy or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a pediatrician, preferably in a rehabilitation or healthcare setting.
  • Knowledge and practical experience in differential diagnosis and evidence-based treatment approaches.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively explain complex concepts to patients and colleagues.
  • Strong manual therapy skills and proficiency in a variety of therapeutic modalities and techniques.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment, collaborating with other healthcare professionals to provide holistic care.
  • Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development and staying up to date with the latest research and advancements in the field.
  • Valid professional license or registration as a physiotherapist in Saudi Arabia.
