Job Overview:
The Product specialist is responsible for promoting pharmaceutical products to relevant medical establishments. They meet with doctors and hospital teams and make presentations to persuade potential clients to use their goods which include medicines, prescription drugs etc. to a variety of customers including general practitioners (GPs), hospital doctors, pharmacists, and nurses and expand the customer network by achieving the sales distribution target of the division.
Key Responsibilities:
- Meeting and exceeding sales and profitability targets of the department.
- Successfully responsible to effectively implement and monitor sales and distribution objectives.
- Responsible for their team to collect and compile market information on various competitive brands.
- Responsible for their team for their continuous improvement in efficiency, quality, and adherence to the quality management system.
- Drive sales & market share growth in institution Private market .
- Identify key customers and to develop & implement joint business plan with the customer to achieve sales and growth objectives.
- Report Competitor’s activities and look for new business opportunities to safeguard the customer base and increase market share.
Qualification & Experience:
- A bachelor’s degree in Pharmaceuticals.
- Minimum 2-3 years of pharmaceutical sales experience in the UAE, preferably in Anti-biotic/ Anti-fungal field and a strong focus on Institutional business.
- Previous experience engaging with infectious disease specialists, ICU physicians, and hematologists is highly preferred.
- Strong scientific acumen with the ability to discuss therapy areas confidently.
- Proactive and entrepreneurial mindset with a results-driven approach.
- Resilient and adaptable to a fast-paced, competitive market.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining strong collaboration with the team.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills to build trust and rapport with HCPs.
- Strong negotiation and persuasive skills to position the product as the preferred choice.
- Ability to identify and capitalize on business opportunities in the territory.
- Strategic thinking to develop and implement effective territory action plans.
