Job Description
- Conducting comprehensive nursing assessments of patients’ physical, emotional, and psychosocial needs, documenting findings and identifying priorities for care.
- Developing individualized nursing care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare team members, incorporating patient preferences, cultural considerations, and evidence-based practices.
- Collaborating with interdisciplinary healthcare team members, including physicians, therapists, social workers, and case managers, to coordinate patient care, exchange information, and facilitate discharge planning.
- Administering medications, intravenous (IV) therapy, and treatments as prescribed by physicians, following medication administration protocols, dosage calculations, and safety precautions.
- Monitoring patients’ responses to medications, assessing for adverse reactions, and intervening promptly to prevent complications or side effects.
- Performing nursing procedures and interventions, such as wound care, catheterization, tracheostomy care, and specimen collection, adhering to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
- Assisting physicians and healthcare providers during examinations, treatments, and procedures, ensuring patient comfort, safety, and privacy.
- Educating patients and families about their medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, and self-care strategies, fostering empowerment, compliance, and health literacy.
- Providing guidance on preventive healthcare measures, lifestyle modifications, and community resources to promote wellness and disease prevention.
- Documenting vital signs, medication administration, treatments, and nursing interventions according to established protocols and policies
- Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of nursing assessments, interventions, and patient responses in electronic health records (EHR) or paper charts, following documentation standards and regulatory requirements.
- Attend and participate in educational activities and participate in the orientation and on-going education of new nursing staff.
- Flexibility to work different shifts in different areas according to the work needs within the scope of nurses practice in My Clinic.
- Participate as an active member on assigned committees and participate with continuous quality improvement activities to improve patient’s care and work environment.
- Participate in reviewing the standards and policies for the national and international accreditation requirements.
- Maintain all time maximum safe environment for patient, family and staff by ensuring safe equipment’s, instruments, medications, explosive hazard, crash cart, medical gases, ambulance and implement the infection control procedures & guidelines.
- Performing other duties as assigned and submitting the daily, weekly, and monthly reports as required
Education / Professional Qualifications:
- Education Degree: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
- Years of Experience: Up to 2 years of experience within a related field.
- Must have a valid SCFHS license.
