Do & adhere to operating room attire according to policy and procedure..
- Prepare room and assemble instruments & equipment based on patient surgical needs.
- Demonstrate knowledge of aseptic technique.
- Correctly identifies patient, procedure and surgical site.
- Checking thoroughly the pre – operative checklist of patient; including checking completion required diagnostic & laboratory procedures.
- Provides safety to patient to self & the whole surgical team by adopting all safety protocols applicable to the unit.
- Monitors patient condition pre-operative, intra-operative & immediate post-operative.
- Demonstrates to position the patient with the use of positional aids, maintaining circulatory, respiratory, neuromuscular homeostasis while maintaining privacy and providing maximum exposure to the operative procedure.
- Implement correct practices for the prevention of infection, practicing strict aseptic technique & maintenance of sterile field.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient’s records.
- Demonstrate competence in Cardio – Pulmonary Resuscitation technique.
- Takes responsibility for professional clinical practice and is actually involved in updating and Continuing Education.
- Follows the reporting mechanisms/chain of command in the Nursing Department.  Issues are correctly and quickly reported. These include all patient care issues.
- Complies with established Nursing Services Policies and Procedures.
- Attends and participates in Unit meetings and other Managerial activities as assigned.
- Will take responsibility for the Unit in the absence of the Head Nurse as assigned.
- Demonstrate an awareness of fire/equipment hazards and the necessary precautions to be activated as per Hospital Policy.
- Any other assigned responsibilities as needed as identified by Head Nurse or Supervisor.
- Adherent the practice of Prescription Order Review.
- To follow appropriate international guidelines, DHA regulations & Joint Commission International norms while treating or managing patients as well as while discharging their professional duties.Â

Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing/Diploma in Nursing.Â
- Current license in country of origin and with DHA license to practice in Dubai, UAE.
- Minimum 2 years nursing experience in the relevant area after qualification, BLS provider.
- Good English spoken & written, Arabic language advantageous/desirable but not essential.
