Job Description

Looking for Respiratory Therapist with experience in Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT), Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Pediatric ICU (PICU), and Pulmonary Function Testing (PFT). Candidate must have strong clinical expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to educate patients and collaborate with physicians on treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Intensive & Pediatric Critical Care (ICU/PICU)
• Manage ventilated patients, including setup, monitoring, weaning, and troubleshooting.
• Administer oxygen therapy, high-flow nasal cannula (HFNC), and non-invasive ventilation (NIV).
• Assist with intubation, extubation, and bronchoscopy procedures.
• Perform and interpret Arterial Blood Gas (ABG) analysis.
• Provide emergency respiratory support, including resuscitation and airway management.

2. Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT)
• Operate and monitor Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) chambers.
• Conduct patient assessments before and after therapy.
• Ensure safety protocols and emergency procedures are followed.
• Collaborate with physicians to determine appropriate HBOT treatment plans.

3. Pulmonary Function Testing (PFT) & Outpatient Services
• Conduct Full PFTs, FeNO testing, and spirometry for diagnostic and preoperative assessments.
• Educate patients on respiratory diseases and treatment plans.
• Perform bronchial hygiene therapy and chest physiotherapy.
• Assist in pulmonary rehabilitation programs.

4. Patient Communication & Education
• Clearly explain treatment plans to patients and caregivers.
• Educate patients on inhaler techniques, oxygen therapy, and sleep apnea management.
• Recommend appropriate respiratory therapies to physicians based on patient needs.

5. Teaching & Clinical Training
• Provide training and mentorship to students, interns, or junior staff.
• Preferably has experience as a clinical instructor or teaching in an academic setting.

6. General Respiratory Therapy & Documentation
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
• Utilize Excel and PowerPoint for data tracking, reporting, and presentations.

Requirements:
• Arabic/English speaker is a must.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Respiratory Therapy
• Master’s Degree in Respiratory Therapy or Healthcare Management (preferred).
• Valid DOH license (or eligibility to obtain one).
• Minimum 5 years of experience.
• Certification in BLS, ACLS, and PALS is required.
• Strong experience in ventilator management, ABG interpretation, and NIV therapy.
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
• Excellent communication and patient education skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Prior experience as a clinical instructor or working with students
